Device key and account
ZYKAY now identifies your verification profile with a device key generated and stored on your phone.
What is the device key?
The device key is a cryptographic key pair created on-device (Secure Enclave capable devices). It is used to sign verification operations without exposing private identity data.
Why this replaces browser wallets
- No browser extension setup
- No wallet connection popups
- Stronger on-device security model
- Better mobile-first user experience
What happens if you change phone?
Your old device key does not move automatically. On a new phone, you may need to complete verification again so a new device key can be established.
Security recommendations
- Keep your iPhone passcode and biometrics enabled
- Keep iOS and applications updated
- Do not share screenshots of active verification sessions
Common questions
Is this a crypto wallet?
No. The device key is used for identity verification flow, not for holding crypto assets.
Can a partner see my key?
No. Partners receive verification outcomes/attributes, not your private key material.
